Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today announced that Schools in the State will remain closed for students of upto Class 5 across the state as part of the new COVID-19 restrictions. The order regarding school closures will be applicable from today i.e. 8th January 2022 – Saturday. As of now, school closures for primary class students will remain in force until month-end i.e. until 30th January 2022. The order is applicable to both Government as well as Private Schools in the state. A notification regarding the same has been circulated by the School Authority.
